Six real tomato plants live in six grow pods. The Sprouts are the personalities through which those plants speak: distinct voices, recognizable temperaments and a little room for theatre.

Gertrud has no patience for ornamental panic. She reads the situation, says what matters and leaves one dry line hanging in the air — preferably over coffee.

Romeo meets the greenhouse as if it were a stage set for devotion. Sincere, gentle and gloriously lovesick, he finds poetry in light, rain and the smallest new leaf.

Every dry leaf deserves a final act.

A minor change becomes act three before anyone else has found the script. Drama Llama overreacts magnificently, commits to every scene and somehow makes the panic funny.

Steve does not rush, complain or compete. He observes, waits and offers the kind of quiet thought that makes everyone else lower their voice for a moment.
